The Kids Junction Pre-K classrooms here in Madison , WI fully prepare your child for a successful Kindergarten transition! Each child will be assessed at the beginning of the school year to make a developmentally appropriate plan for your Pre-K child. The teachers will guide the students learning throughout the school year using our Scope and Sequence created specifically for Madison Pre-K aged children.
In our Madison Pre-K classrooms we focus on each curriculum area: Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading , Writing, Language Arts, Spanish, Sign Language and Character Training. Curriculums we proudly use in our Pre-K program are Handwriting With-out Tears, Character First, Signing Times, Spanish, Complete Daily Curriculum, and more. Our specialist teachers in the Pre-K classrooms will enrich your child with Gym class, Art class, Music class and Character building with Bible stories. We also offer a full size outdoor soccer field, a wonderful playground and an indoor gym, graciously shared by the Princeton Club, to use all year long.
We enjoy traveling to various locations around Madison to provide our Pre-K students hands on experience and exposure to the world around us. The Pre-K students take fieldtrips to the Pumpkin Patch, Apple Orchard, Local Parks and make long lasting connections at All Saints retirement home. As an exciting Pre-K culminating trip to end the school year, the class travels to Baraboo Wisconsin to explore the Circus World museum.
Kids Junction Preschool encourages our students to take advantage of swimming lessons offered at Swim West every Monday morning. We safely provide all transportation to and from the facility, with safe and secure supervision at all times.
We showcase our creativity with many presentations and programs. We display our wonderful works of art during our Scholastic book fair in the fall; the art class displays artwork weekly as well.
The Pre-K students host two programs every year: one during the holiday season and one in the springtime. Each Pre-K student participates in singing, dancing and theatrics in a fun, educational way. We also extend the stage by offering a “Back to Broadway” class for the children taught by our music teacher.
