Madison Early Preschool Teacher – Ms. AbigailMs. Abigail

Education
I have certification in Early Childhood and a B.A. and dance minor at Belhaven College.

 

Early Childhood
I have been serving children since I was in middle school through baby sitting and church programs. In addition to teaching the two year olds at Kids Junction, I teach dance to a variety of ages at a local studio. It has always been a desire of mine to teach others, sharing my passions with those around me.

 

Personal Information
I grew up in Virginia where my family still lives. When I’m not at Kids Junction, I enjoy long walks and reading; however most of my time is spent with in dance: teaching, exploring choreography, or learning new styles.

Education
I am currently finishing my Early Childhood certification.

 

Early Childhood
I have loved watching kids since I was 12. I've nannied for several families and was an assistant teacher here at Kids Junction when they first opened in the 2 ½ - 3 year old class room. I have also done PCA work for mental disabilities.

 

Personal Information
I enjoy working with children and animals, and would love to eventually get involved in working with challenged or handicapped kids through horses. I love to travel and experience other countries and cultures as well.

Education
I have a Bachelors Degree and teaching certificates in Elementary Education, Physical Education and Health. I have also taken many classes pertaining to multiple aspects of Child Care including Child Care Administration, Child Development and Behavior Guidance.

 

Early Childhood
I have enjoyed working with children the last 11 years. I love building relationships and partnerships that connect me with families to help nurture and educate young minds.

 

Personal Information
I enjoy family walks and outings, sewing, scrapbooking, and spending time with my husband and two boys.

Education
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a minor is Sociology from the University of Iowa. I plan on receiving my Master's Degree in Counseling in order to continue working with children.

 

Early Childhood
I have worked in multiple preschool settings over the past five years. I also worked for a non-profit organization that helped at risk children and families during my final year of college.

 

Personal Information
I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I am currently applying to graduate school to become a Registered Play Therapist, as I really enjoy working with children. I also enjoy reading and traveling.

Education
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a major in Psychology.  I have taken continuing education courses in the areas of Early Childhood, Developmental Basics (Ages 0 - 5) and developmentally appropriate curriculums. I have my lead teacher's certification through the Early Learning Station.      

 

Early Childhood
I have been working with two year olds since June 2009. Throughout college I worked with developmentally disabled children and adults ages 4 – 79.

 

Personal Information
I have a daughter who is soon to be one. She keeps me busy at home. I enjoy learning with children and am currently expanding my sign language vocabulary.
